“Communication and secure connection is what makes a family strong.”
Family Counseling
Session Length: 60 min
In family therapy sessions, I adopt an integrative approach that combines elements of Emotionally Focused Family Therapy (EFFT) and Structural Family Therapy to address the unique dynamics within the family system. With EFFT, the focus is on fostering secure emotional bonds and creating a safe environment where family members can express their emotions, needs, and concerns openly. Through guided interventions, I help families identify and restructure maladaptive patterns of communication and interaction, facilitating deeper emotional connections and promoting mutual understanding and support.
Incorporating principles of Structural Family Therapy, I work collaboratively with families to identify and address systemic issues and power dynamics that may contribute to relational conflicts or disruptions. By examining the family's organizational structure and boundaries, we can pinpoint areas of dysfunction and implement practical strategies to promote healthier relationships and improve overall family functioning. Through active participation and engagement, family members are empowered to enact positive changes, develop effective communication skills, and build stronger, more resilient bonds with one another.
The benefits of family therapy extend beyond resolving immediate conflicts to fostering long-term relational health and well-being. By providing a safe and supportive space for families to address underlying issues and strengthen their connections, family therapy promotes enhanced communication, increased empathy, and a greater sense of cohesion and harmony within the family unit. Through our collaborative efforts, families can cultivate resilience, foster mutual support, and embark on a journey of growth and healing together.
